Understanding Menopause | Training for Workplaces | Empowering Women
Siobhan Kearney
Menopause NI was formed by Siobhan Kearney in response to the growing need to awareness and education around the menopause. The menopause will happen to every woman in Northern Ireland, yet there is still no Women’s Health Strategy in place, never mind a strategic approach to supporting women as they transition through their menopause.
There is now a need for a dedicated space to provide evidence-based information on the menopause, support to women who are experiencing menopausal symptoms and for businesses who want to support female colleagues in the workplace.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that all women in Northern Ireland have access to credible, practical support during their menopause transition — and that starts with training. We deliver structured, evidence-based sessions that equip managers, teams, and community leaders to understand menopause as a workplace and health issue, free from stigma or shame. Through training, we promote open conversation, legal and ethical awareness, and practical action. We want to see a society where women’s health is prioritised — supported by informed leadership, accessible healthcare, and community-based provision rooted in research and lived experience.
Aims
We will deliver our Mission through the following training‑led aims:
